Alpha Alpha Alpha (Tri-Alpha) Honor Society is a nonprofit chapter-based membership organization located at colleges and universities within the United States. The Society’s mission is to encourage and reward academic excellence among first-generation college students pursuing an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accredited institutions of higher learning. Induction into Tri-Alpha is earned by outstanding academic achievement and lasts for a lifetime.

Washburn BridgeUSA brings students together for thoughtful, structured conversations on the issues shaping our world. Members participate in dialogue events and guest‑speaker sessions designed to foster curiosity, respect, and productive discussion. Through exposure to a wide range of viewpoints, students strengthen their academic and civic literacy while learning to engage across differences.

Members also gain access to BridgeUSA’s national network, including webinars, trainings, and the annual summit. Girls Who Code College & Career programs connect students interested in tech, building a supportive community that helps them persist and succeed in the field. These programs support students to persist in computer science through college, prepare them to enter the workforce, and ensure they have the means to access and succeed in entry-level job opportunities.

At Washburn, our college loop is designed to promote the success and celebrate achievements of women in computing. Our meetings focus on technical development, hearing from women in the tech world, and creating a greater community. We are open to everyone, and welcome allies at our meetings.
